To measure the various parts of the body for clothing, it's important to use a flexible measuring tape and to wear minimal clothing to get accurate measurements. Here’s a straightforward guide on how to take each of the measurements you listed:
Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, and across the shoulder blades.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline, which is typically the narrowest point on your torso.
Hip (16cm from Waist Binding Position)
Measure around the widest part of your hips, approximately 16 cm below your waistline.
Full Length
Stand straight and measure from the highest point of your shoulder down to the length you want your garment to end.
Back Rise
Measure from the middle of the waistband (at the back), down and around to the middle of the crotch seam.
Front Yoke
Typically found on jeans or trousers, measure across the front of the waist from one side seam to the other.
Shoulder
Measure from one shoulder point to the other, across the back.
Collar Round
Measure around the base of your neck where the collar sits.
Cuff Round
Measure around your wrist where the cuff would normally sit.
Sleeve Length
Measure from the shoulder point to the wrist, following the natural curve of your arm.
Knee
Measure around your knee at its widest point.
Elbow Round
Bend your arm slightly and measure around the elbow at its fullest point.
Back Yoke
Measure across the shoulders from one armhole seam to the other, across the back.
Inseam
Measure along the inside of your leg from the lowest part of your crotch down to your ankle.
Front Rise
Measure from the middle of the waistband (at the front) straight down to the crotch seam.
Thigh (10cm from Crotch)
Measure around the thigh, 10 cm below the crotch point.
Ankle
Measure around your ankle at the narrowest point.
Crotch
This is a bit tricky and often involves measuring a pair of trousers that fit well. Measure from the front waistband through the crotch to the back waistband.
